This project realised the goal of creating music from the untameable flight of 100,000 wild bats. At SXSW in Austin, Texas, visitors and locals were invited to interact and be part of a performance unlike any other. The movement of the bats was tracked and used to play back and modify sounds that accompanied a backing track, these different sounds could be mixed in with the track to create different compositions.
